RevKit Cloud Library Beta

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information RevKit collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. RevKit — the RevKit add-in for Autodesk® Revit® and the RevKit Cloud Library web application — is provided by Struct-BIM (“we”, “us”, “our”) and distributed through Bimbee. It applies to both the add-in and the Cloud Library.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you or your administrator create an account, we store:

  • your email address (used as your login identifier);
  • your display name and the company you belong to;
  • your role (Admin, Member, or Viewer); and
  • a hashed version of your password — we never store your password in plain text.

When you are invited or reset your password, we generate a temporary, single-use token tied to your account so you can set a new password securely; it expires after a limited time.

Content you upload

The Cloud Library stores the content you or your teammates upload: Revit family files (.rfa), thumbnails, optional 3D preview files, and the metadata you attach — categories, collections, tags, descriptions, and any custom fields your company defines. Files are stored in cloud object storage, and metadata is kept in our database.

Usage information

We record limited usage information needed to operate the Service, such as how many times a family has been downloaded, and standard server logs (for example, request timestamps and error information) used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use information

  • to provide and operate the Service — authenticate you, store and serve your library, and generate previews;
  • to keep each company’s library private and enforce roles and permissions;
  • to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
  • to manage licensing and subscriptions; and
  • to communicate with you about your account, security, or important changes.

3. License activation data (the add-in)

The RevKit add-in is licensed per machine. When you activate a license key, the add-in reads a hardware identifier for your computer (a system UUID reported by Windows) and sends it, together with your license key, to our licensing provider so the license can be locked to a single device. This identifier is used only for license validation and enforcement — it lets us confirm that a key is being used on the machine it was activated on, and to release a license that has not been seen for an extended period. We do not use it to track your activity inside Revit.

4. Cookies

The Cloud Library website uses a single essential authentication cookie to keep you signed in during your session. It is required for the site to function and is not used for advertising or third-party tracking. The add-in signs in using a token rather than browser cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run RevKit, and only as needed to provide the Service:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and file storage.
  • Keygen — license key management and activation.
  • Bimbee — distribution, subscriptions, and billing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

6. Retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your company’s account is active, and as needed to provide the Service. If a user is deactivated, we may retain their account record so that the authorship of families they uploaded remains intact. You can ask us to delete your data as described below, subject to any legal or legitimate-business retention requirements.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: passwords are stored hashed, each company’s data is isolated so one company cannot see another’s library, and traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Company administrators can manage teammate accounts directly; for other requests, contact us using the details below and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in data centers located in different countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on our providers’ safeguards for such transfers.

10. Children

RevKit is a professional tool intended for use by businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.

12. Contact
